Hosts: Bill & Kari Moers
678 Frankton Road
This is a fun room! The walls may seem full but we are still collecting for this room. The Snooker table was built in England prior to 1889. Come and read its incredible story. The walls are covered with unique items. We picked up the snow skis in the French Alps; the croquet set was Kari's great grandmothers; the arrows were her grandfathers, and the airplanes flying about the room are the different planes Bill has flown. Come and study the genuine antiques including Bill's 1958 baseball little league award. Better yet, just come meet the genuine antique himself-HA!
Daddies are special and we haven't forgotten ours in this room. Bill's father was a family doctor (who made house calls in his day) and his stethoscope was passed on to Bill. Kari's father plays the accordion (back to the Lawrence Welk days) and we found the child's accordion at a country antique store near Queenstown. It is made in Germany and is the same type he used to play. He also gave us the boat oars and sports memorabilia.
Enjoy a game of snooker or darts, read local history and stories, laugh at several of the jokes, and study the pictures from throughout New Zealand.
